full dates in word?

Hi,

im using the insert current date/time menu option but it doesn't have the date format i need:

11th May 2006

the nearest there is is

11 May 2006

anyone know how i can define my own format? or if one already exists for this?
if not any ideas on how i could get vb to do this for me: some kind of iif statement im guessing but ive never used vb in word before and wouyldn't know where to put my code.
