Microsoft Word 2000 Forum

Hi,
CrossOver office looks superb and seems to offer what many people I know have been after for ages. So congratulations....

However, there seems to be a slight bug in running Word 2000 -- Equation Editor 3.0 fails to work correctly. Word generally hangs while I'm trying to type in an equation, and all the icons at the top disappear.

Is this a known bug, is it anything to do with the fact that I'm using a trial version.

I used to have the same problem. What I do now is, instead of double-clicking the equation, right click on it and then open it. That way it never crashes (at least for me).

Just tried the demo version of CrossOver Office version 4.0: Equation Editor 3.0 work correctly. I had the same problem as yours with the previous versions. I will use currently CrossOver Office.

Hi!

I have a serious problem with Equation Editor for Word 2000. It works fine with CXOffice =<5.0.3 but it crashes with newer versions (like 6.0.2 or 7.1.0). This is a very serious problem for me... Anyone has an idea to fix it?

Ps: I am using Mandriva with 2.6.17-14mdv kernel.
