Office 2007 and Visio 2007 in the same bottle?

Hi,

I'm trying to install Office and Viso in the same bottle. If I install Office at first, then Visio-setup fails and vice versa.

Is it possible to have these two apps in a shared bottle? If not, is it possible to use the links between the apps, e.g. a visio-objekt in word?

I've tried with the actual crossover pro 9.0.1 in a 32bit Ubuntu 10.04.

Though question. Doesn't seem possible when it failed for you.

I'm not sure if this will work, but try install Visio as Office.

What version of Visio and Office are you using?

I use Office and Visio 2007 SP2. I've tried to install Visio as "Office 2007" because Visio 2007 isnt offered by the cxinstaller.

I will try to install this in separate bottles, and test the interoperability between both apps.

I've successfully installed both in the same bottle ... in both cases I selected "Office 2007" as the cxinstaller; then i applied the service packs using "Office 2007 SP1" and "Office 2007 SP2" in the same way for both Office and Visio.

I did get an error form the Visio 2007 installer as you describe, but Visio seems to be working fine in "normal" use.

I installed Office 2007 and Visio 2007 in two separate Windows XP bottles. I seem to recall that I first installed Office 2007 and then Visio 2007. The order shouldn't matter though since they went into two different bottles. Both work well and I haven't had any issues starting any of the applications.
I am now running 32bit OpenSuse 11.2 with Standard CrossOver 9.0.1.

Just to continue this thread:

Can anyone answer the question about having Visio and Office in different bottles?

I have them both working in separate bottles and I can paste a Visio object into an Office
document and it views OK. However, when I try to print the Office document it only prints
the Visio object....
