Visio 2007 Upgrade will not install on my Visio 2003 bottle. Thats the only reason I havent bought CrossOver yet. I need to know that I can install updates. I need this for my project work so buying a license is no problem, I just need to know that this stuff works.
I also am unable to update my Visio 2003 image with SP3. How is this done? I am using CrossOver 8.0.1 with MacOSX 10.5.8.
I realize this is almost a year later, but I've had the same problem (service pack not installing) for at least this long, so I'd like to post the fix "I" found. Using the current beta release of CrossOver (as of 2010-07-17) I happened to note the requirement that the original Visio 2003 CD be in the CD-ROM drive when installing SP3. After putting in the CD, SP3 installed perfectly.
I can't say how many times I've tried (and failed) to install SP3 in the past. I suspect that note has been there for some time but I've just never noticed it. Completely my fault, of course, but others may be having the same problem....
