Performance issues

Does anyone have Visio running with no performance issues? If so, did you do anything aside from the install through crossover? What are your bottle settings (graphics under winecfg, os emulation, etc.)? Any special graphics linux libraries?

Visio 2003 runs fine, except for the fact I can see everything redraw extremely slowly and it is pretty much unusable for anything more than printing or saving in another format. I am just curious if there are any settings or linux libraries that can make a difference.

I have Visio 2003 running under OSX, version 6.0.1, and it runs very slow. I install in under Boot Camp and it runs very fast. If I hide the application, it runs faster so I think the problem is with the windowserver. I'll need to check more on this.

I am running Visio 2003 under Fedora 7 with Crossover pro 6.1.0 the install was a bit slow, but it runs great once it is loaded. I can open any Visio file (so far) and other than slightly slow screen draw when the entire drawing is highlighted and moved, I have had no problems with any feature yet. I used the WinXP bottle with no other setting changed and a stock install of Visio.

redraw of drawing is somewhat slow.

anything else just works fine..... ( including existing templates, drawings )

seems to me that for most folks the graphics card is the bottle neck, combined with less than optimal directdraw 2d optimalization.

It runs on this kit:
winXP bottle
AMD dual core 3800+ ( cpu Ghz never needs to go above the lowest, which is 1 Ghz )
nvidia 7300GT / 256 MB DDR2
2 GB ram

SuSe 10.1 64bit
