Problems with Visio 2003 and CrossOver Linux Standard Trial

Hi,

I installed Visio 2003 with CrossOver Linux Standard Trial under Ubuntu 8.04. Everythings seems to work fine, until I want to create a new UML-diagram. It's strange, because it seems to be the only type of diagram, that crashes Visio. I tried others, but only the UML-diagram produces a messages like "There was an error. You have to close/restart Visio". I am using a german version, so I am not sure how this messages looks like in english. Maybe thats a known bug?

I can confirm this affects the English version of Visio 2003 under CrossOver Linux Standard 7.0.2 under Ubuntu 8.04. I have a screenshot (not sure how to post it; doesn't appear very useful anyway) that shows the standard "Microsoft Office Visio has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." and the usual Send/Don't Send buttons. Clicking the Debug button doesn't seem to do anything.

I tried creating a blank drawing and opening every UML stencil in the Software category -- no crash. I then opened every other stencil in the Software category -- still no crash. I tried manually opening both "c:\program files\microsoft office\visio11\1033\umldg_u.vsd" and "umlmod_u.vst" and got a crash both times. The Error Signature (found under "What data does this error report contain?") shows the following:

AppName: visio.exe
AppVer: 11.0.3216.0
AppStamp:3f3df10d
ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180
ModStamp:00000000
fDebug: 0
Offset: 000210c0

I have not seen this problem with any other template.

Can one or both of you submit a support ticket detailing these issues? We find it is easier to keep track of them in a ticket rather than attempting to keep track of them on the forum. If you do not have ticket access, please send an email to info@codeweavers.com, this will open a traceable ticket in our system.

I cannot promise an immediate fix, but the sooner a bug report gets into the ticket system, the sooner someone can look at it.

Thank you.
