IOPL not enabled

I was able to work around the "IOPL not enabled" error after installing in the same bottle as office 2003. The fix was running 'export WINEPREFIX="/home/~/.wine"' at a command prompt. I have wine installed as well as crossover so I'm not sure if that's a requirement.

Native Wine and CrossOver do not actually speak with each other and really should not know the other is there.

You can work around the IOPL error further by installing Office 2003 and Visio 2003 into separate bottles (of course this cuts down on them working with each other).

go to crossover setup -> manage bottle -> choos your bottle with visio2003-> configure -> control panel -> launch winecfg -> libraries
add gdiplus, choose it and edit, select native.
save all.

Hi,

I don't even manage to install Visio 2003. I get a message that the installation failed, and when I open cxsetup Visio is not listed. Anyone else having that problem?

However, the visio exe file has been added, but I get the "IOPL not enabled" error message when trying to run it.
