Has anyone tested compatibility of the latest 5.0 of cxoffice with Visio 2003?
doesnt work because it needs .NET framework which doesnt work in cx.
Does anyone know when Visio 2003 will be supported??? This is one app I really need to have running.
I just did, and it works!!!! Just do an install as Microsoft Office2003 and select a custom exe. Point it at the setup file and it will install just fine. There are a couple major issues with it though, the main one being that you can't open files. Though I will say its better than nothing.
This is true. However if you create a new drawing from an existing drawing then that works. That's a kludge, but at least it works!

Well, this is not a practical use. Thus far, the nightly builds do not offer anything new.
We all will have to wait until 5.1 until support is supposed to be official.
I was able to successfully install Visio 2003 into CX5. It works, but it crashes constantly and you can't open existing drawings as you would expect. Is there a release date on 5.1?
It is almost a practical Visio solution on linux. 😈
I was able to install visio 2003 using CX5.0.1 Still the same thing it can't open saved visio documents and crashes sometimes. I was however able to make a drawing and open in the windows version. Still has a ways to go, but it is getting there.
