Installation

This App does install but it was not added to the KDE menu. No sweat, I found the EXE in the MS office dir and started it up. It started and then hung giving me a message that stated it needed to be restarted.. So close ...........

Richard,

Do you have any thoughts on how you got it to install? I've been attempting to install it, but so far I've just gotten errors from the install.

Also, which version of Crossover Office are you using?

Matt

I to am a 'doubtful' proud owner of Project Professional 2003.

Has anyone got this working with crossover to date ?

If Not ( or even - if so ) then what can this newbie do the help get this program " kicked started " again ?

IT will install ok on Suse 10, use Win2000 bottle. but your will get a failed installation message

But on Running you get a

  1. error messages saying it cannot use/ find GLOBAL.MPT
It suggests where it maybe in the windows directory tree, these directories do not exist, but creating them and putting the file in them does not solve the problem
When exiting it asks to create another file of GLOBAL.MPT in what seems to be the old version of the directory tree (not that I know much about the Windows directory structure), if you click yet it hangs

  2. The worst thing I have come across is that is will save files but won't load them, Project comes up with an error message, which indicates that the mapping of the linux to Windows directory is at fault somewhere, I wondered if this could be a conflict with the wine configuration that is already on my system, but changing the default ../drive_c using winecfg does not help!

Simon

Same here, did you find a work around for loading files ... it kind of a key

I also had a slight peculiarity with menus. The Project menu was blatting my Office menu. I got around this by appending /Unsupported to the /root. Now the menus all seem to work fine for me.

If only I could load my saved files ... i've tried
i) Saving in the drive_c, mapped folder
ii) Saving in my home dir
iii) Saving to a flash key

but to no avial
