I assume that this program is needed to view PowerPoint files saved in the Office 2007 format (extension .pptx). Here is my initial test:
1) I have installed PPV2007 (a new bottle, "Unsupported"). It starts and can open older Powerpoint files. However, attempt to open .pptx files results (after a long delay) in a message saying that "Office Compatibility Pack" is necessary to open these files.
2) I have downloaded and installed the compatibility pack (in the same bottle). However, the behaviour stays the same. Long delay and then a message saying "This file requires the Compatibility Pack for the Office 2007 system to view its contents".
