So I have been trying to get Outlook 2007 to work all of this morning and I am about to give up. Unfortunately my work upgraded from exchange 2003 to 2010 and IT turned off POP and IMAP with no chance of turning it back on. Now I have been looking for ways to connect using crossover. I went and installed Outlook (as part of the larger office suite) and that seemed to go ok. Now whenever I start up outlook it crashes more or less immediately. I created the /etc/samba/smb.conf file as suggested and installed the nss-mdns as suggested in various places without any luck.
I was able to go in through the control panel to tweek the email account so that it does not automatically attempt to connect right off so when I start outlook I have the option to work offline and that seems to prevent the crash. Next as I still have not activated the software so when I attempt to activate online outlook crashes again. So when I attempt to grab mail or activate the software it immediately crashes.
Thanks,
Brian
