Outlook 2007 memory usage under jaunty 64bit (crossover-8.0)

Not sure if this the appropriate place for this question, but I notice that memory usage (watching via system-monitor) is around 150-200mb while outlook is running. as a point of reference, memory usage seems to be around 60mb (plus or minus 10 mb) running natively on windows vista.

I'm assuming the difference is due to overhead of running outlook in crossover (perhaps also due to the fact i'm running 64bit jaunty?)

it's not a show-stopper and the program works perfectly fine, i'm wondering if there are any tweaks I can do inside of crossover to help with this memory usage.?

appreciate any feedback or tips.

There's certainly a overhead from 64 bit, and there's certainly a overhead from CrossOver. The outlook process needs the Linux libraries, and on top of that our windows libs. On Windows, you just have the Windows libs.

There's also a different understanding in what "used memory" means. There's the allocated memory, and the committed memory. Most OSes only reserve physical memory once the allocated memory was actually used. In Linux you can change that somewhere in /proc/sys/vm. I think the Linux memory monitors usually show the committed(ie, actually written to) memory, and the Linux memory tools show the allocated memory. I might be wrong though, and I don't think this explains such a high memory difference.

My gut tells me that these explanations probably cover 40-50 MB at best.
