lots of cxntlm_auth processes showing up

Anyone happen to know why I keep getting so many cxntlm_auth processes showing up? When I first start up outlook I have about 7 of them. Over the course of the day I end up with 40 or so in the process table. That seems like something wrong to me, but I don't see any other side effects of having them there.

CXOffice 6.1, W2K Bottle, Outlook 2003, Gentoo Base System release 1.12.10
