COMac 6.1, rpc/HTTPS, need to install SSL certificate, cannot authenticate

Our company does a self-certificate for SSL connections to the Exchange server, and when setting up RPC/HTTPS on normal Windows we first had to install the SSL certificate manually using the "Internet Options" and "Connections" portion of the Control panel. There is no way to do this under COMac 6.1 in the winxp bottle because IE isn't installed. I can configure the HTTPS portion of Outlook and it hits the server, and it brings up the login panel, but isn't accepting my password. I have tried every combination of domain\name that I can think of, but nothing seems to work. My account is not locked out, so it's not a bad password entry (we lock people out after 3 tries); so my guess is that it's not even getting to the point of asking the server because of the SSL credential problems. Is there any way to turn up logging to see if that is true, or better yet, any way that I can get the .cer file and install it into the winxp bottle so Outlook over HTTPS will work?

Any suggestions welcome.

I finally ended up just deleting the entire bottle and starting a new one and re-installing. Unlike what the instructions state on the Wiki, I created an empty winxp bottle from scratch and then put in the Office 2003 CD. It installed the Core Fonts, then the HTML and then Office 2003 and now things are working. I don't have to install the SSL certificate or anything and it is all working.

What doesn't work is IMAP, it complains that the Internet stuff isn't completely loaded and I need to re-install, but all I really needed this for was Exchange over HTTPS, so I'm good to go.

When you said you installed fonts and html was that done automatically in the 2003 office install? Once you enabled RPC over HTTP does your outlook crash after update is complete? I installed in an 2000 bottle then changed it to XP to give me the option to set up RPC over HTTP, but it crashes over and over and over.

There's a known problem with MSOffice2003 Service Pack 2, the winxp bottle type, and CrossOver 6.1. We have a fix for it internally. Although this ticket http://www.codeweavers.com/support/tickets/browse/?ticket_id=127990 is originally about something else, this issue does crop up and there's a fix you can download.

Alternatively, you can reinstall Outlook in a new bottle and just apply Service Pack 1. Don't apply Service Pack 2.

I have a problem here. The only Outlook media I have has SP2 integrated. It won't let me regress to SP1 and the link given by Ken gives me a nice flashing "access denied". I need to have Outlook with HTTP/RPC running - so it would seem that I need this fix.

Any assistance or links would be welcome as at the moment I have just flushed $59.99 down the drain.
