Account Setup Not Getting Past "Configuring Outlook"

I've configured the account for Exchange access over HTTP. When launching Outlook though, it seems to be stuck on the "Configuring Outlook" pop-up window -- "Configuring Outlook Accounts," above "Creating Welcome Message."

Ubuntu 8.10 / Cross-Over Office Demo 7.1

There's a possibility that a login/password dialog is being presented, but has for some reason come up behind the windows you're seeing. Check to see if there's another window lurking around.

I'm having the same issue, except I see the password box and can enter my username/password. After that, it just hangs.

sorry... I am using Fedora 10.

I have outlook 2003 installed in it's own container. The only other things installed in that container are IE6, and the stuff that gets auto installed. Am I missing something?

Have you tried adding your server name to your username field?

servername\username

I tried that. I also tried using my email address (which works on windows), and my domain\user.

I can see that it's trying to do something when I run top. OUTLOOK.EXE pops up on the list once in a while, but after hours nothing changes.

Also, SELINUX is disabled on my system.

Can you successfully ping the server from your system?

I just changed my server URL, and now after about 15 minutes it says it can't resolve the hostname.

I also can't get my Office apps to activate over the internet. It looks like a network issue. Is there something I'm missing in my bottle?

Yes I can ping it.

I can also resolve the URL from within IE6.

Is Outlook installed in a win2000 or winXP bottle... if it's in a win2000 bottle you will need to reinstall into a winXP bottle (upgrading the bottle will not do the job).

It is in an XP bottle I created just for it.
