Onenote cannot open notebooks stored on a network folder that I am accessing through /Volumes/xxxx
it opens the folder but not any of the notes/sections inside.

any fix?

I believe that OneNote is probably trying to use byte-range locking in order to protect against multiple network users modifying the file at the same time and corrupting it. Mac OS X doesn't support the normal POSIX byte-range locking API on all file systems. I know it's not supported for SMB/CIFS shares.

In truth, Wine is supposed to just ignore this byte-range locking failure, but a bug causes it to communicate the locking failure to the Windows application. Technically, it means your data is safer, but it also means that you can't access the file that you want to. :-/

The bug is on our list and we'll probably fix it in the next release.

Do you have an estimated time that this bug will be fixed. I'd love to use Crossover without having to buy Parallels, but I've got to make the syncing work.

Just quickly tested, not working.
When you open a notebook from network it opens but no sections load.

I would like to see this as well. I want native like for Onenote but need shared folders. Any update on when this will work?

Has anyone gotten coordination between Outlook and One Note? I would like to have the ability to send items from Outlook to One Note as new pages.
