Latest Office 365 installer on Fedora 41

I have been trying to figure out how to get the latest Office 365 installer to work on the latest Crossover.

It goes through the motion of installing the fonts and MSXML6 installer, starts the Office installer and stops with:

Couldn't Install Error Code 0-2031 (17006)

I have tried a couple time and tried with a clean bottle and even a newer bottle version. No luck.

I am guessing the latest installer is Office 2024 and unfortunately I don't have the installer I used last time that worked.

Office 2024 is NOT Office 365
2024 is not supported on CrossOver, or wine in general (yet)

If you wish to get Office 365, you can get the installer here: (this one worked for me*)
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/download-office#download

*I used K/Ubuntu, but it should be about the same on Fedora

Is the link you gave for 32 bit Office 365 or 64 bit Office 365?

I had been downing the 32 bit installer that is available to me when I log into the Office 365 site.

I tried that installer on the link and got the same error.

It is the 32bit version

Simply choosing Microsoft Office 365 from the CrossOver app main menu, and select that installer I linked would work.

It should create a Win7 32bit Bottle

So I installed Ubuntu 24.10 on the machine last night on a clean drive using ext4. Office 365 installed just fine. Putting another drive in, did a clean install of Fedora 41 with ext4 and it gave the same error I was getting above. I'm stumped.

I can confirm this too, exact same error installing into a Fedora 41 podman container, works fine on a Ubuntu container.

I am also having the same issue - unable to install Office 365 on latest Fedora
