Today I tried the new Crossover 25.0.0 release. Created a new bottle via the "wizard" for Office 365 and installed a 32bit Setup.exe downloaded from within my office.com account download page.
The installation went flawlessly and the applications start very fast. Everything seems to work at a first glance, but the activation is still not possible. Regarding other support requests related to this topic, it seems the issue is related to windows 7 as a base platform.
I tried win10 x86 and x64 in new bottles, but the installer drops out with errors.

This is a known issue since Beta 1, even Codeweavers themselves ranked Office365 as 2 stars on the rating page.
You can downgrade to 24.0.6 to activate it, it works on some computers. Upgrading to 25 will not break activated installations.

Windows 7 is expected, as more issues happen on newer Windows even after installation

Thanks for answering.

Yeah, just wanted to keep this thread active since there are probably users who want to be informed in this topic and the new release.
Sadly, 24.06 is not allowing me to activate the product as well. It's frustrating since the applications really seem to work well, except the activation.

Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS, crossover 24.0.6-1
I've got crossover since 2013 and spent ~$240 over the years. The whole purpose for buying crossover was M$ Office and M$ Project. Since my company activated MFA, both aren't usable anymore. I've got also years old MS Office 2010 installed, which works, but the activation is also failing after CrossOver upgrade. Cannot change it back.
MS Office 365 doesn't work either because of MFA problem.
So this is the first year since 2013 when I consider not prolonging the subscription. That's sad.

I agree. This should be the #1 priority of CodeWeavers at the moment and I have seen zero progress on this issue for quite a long time now.

Yes, the recent situation is totally unacceptable. The main reason why people working on Linux need the CrossOver for serious works is the MS Office 365 and some Adobe apps (mostly Adobe Acrobat Pro).
In a case of persistemnt and long-term CrossOver troubles to install, activate and use these apps, there is no reason to use CrossOver at all.
