Odd Default Click Action on Selected Text in PowerPoint

In Crossover 21 Stable (On Linux Mint 20.1), I have noticed that the default click action on text in a selected text box in PowerPoint is not working quite right. There are a few editor states to illustrate what is going on:

  1. The text box is unselected.

  2. I click to select the box and set my cursor position. So far so good. I can edit text and move the cursor with the arrow keys.

  3. I click to move the cursor to a new location in the text box. My cursor becomes invisible. Typing appends to the end of the text box rather than where I want it. The arrow keys move the textbox rather than repositioning the cursor. Additional clicking results in no change.

Has anyone else noticed this, and does anyone have any luck fixing it? While it is technically possible to get work done this way, it makes me significantly less productive.

Hi Ian,

To the best of my knowledge, there is no workaround for this rather annoying issue :/

Best,
Meredith
