One of the tricky things about Office 2016 is that it is a name that essentially covers multiple products. There are many different types of activation, and unfortunately only some of them are currently working with CrossOver. We are constantly working to support more types of activation, but it is a long road, made more difficult by the fact that Microsoft is constantly changing how the activation process works. The activation methods that we worked so hard to support have been altered by Microsoft so that they are broken on CrossOver more times than I like to remember, and this keeps us from being able to add additional activation methods as quickly as we would like.
Our support team is constantly working with customers regarding Office activation. In some cases they are able to find the source of the problem and fix it. In other cases, logs are gathered for the bugs we have regarding various activation methods. Please feel free to contact our support team using the "Contact Us" link at the top of the screen.
I do not want to discourage you from trouble-shooting on the forum; I only wanted to clear up some potential frustration, as many people are fairly unaware that different Office licenses and accounts use a multitude of different activation methods.
Thanks,
Anna
