I'm asking this before I get the Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 with Intel Core m3. Because I want to make certain that the current version of CrossOver will allow me successfully use Microsoft Office Word 2007 on that Chromebook before I end up spending $600. I did look through the "What Runs" area of this site. But I've come across a few on Reddit who have mentioned issues getting the program to work. On top of that I see forum posted back in 2014, that also mention issues getting MS Office to work.
So I just wanted to get some clarification, whether Microsoft Office Word will work in this way.
Also I looked at the CrossOver system requirements and the Chromebook I'm looking at getting checks out in all though categories, except I'm confused about the, Android 5.x or later part. Because Chromebooks use ChromeOS not AndroidOS. So that has me confused.
Can anyone clarify for me.
