Hi Derk,
Sorry for the confusion. 'Microsoft Office 2003 suite' is a "Group" in the Compatibility
center. So that means that it aggregates all of the applications in the Office 2003
suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and so on.
But if you look at the break down, you'll see that of the $8,000 pledged for 'Office 2003',
about $6,000 of it is pledge only for 'Outlook 2003'. Thus, the part of Office 2003 that
our customers have told us they most care about is Outlook.
And thus, our response and our focus. We did and do also continue to work on issues
in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint, even fixing a few items this time around. To be honest,
our sense is that those applications work fairly well, except for a set of problems that
have proven to be very hard to solve over the past few years. (Powerpoint slowness being
one of them).
I hope that helps clear this up.
Cheers,
Jeremy
