I have been using Crossover Linux for years to run Word, but recently my organisation installed new service-desk software (Point-Of-Business or POB from Wendia) which is mostly web-based but has one key component which is a .NET application called POB.G6 (v.1.6.0.22643).
No problem, thought I, and installed Crossover's .NET 4.0 which is what our support guys said was needed. When I click on the relevant link in the web application, my browser downloads a file called Wendia.Applications.WinFX.POBWin.application which turns out to be an XML document. It does this with the MIME Content-Type application/x-ms-application
- How do I get this to trigger Crossover to fire up .NET?
I'm running Crossover under Ubuntu 15.10, I tried to force .NET to run from within the Crossover GUI menu by selecting the bottle and Control Panels > Edit Associations but the subwindow is empty and there is no "add" feature, so I can't add .application to it. There is a "Run Command" option, but I don't know what "a command" means in this environment.
- How do I "run" .NET (excuse my ignorance of Windows terminology here)
