Under 5.0.0 The installer works OK (but doesn't exit properly) with both the prerequisites, and the actual application.
When I try to run it (from the desktop icon) I see:
Unable to initialise an essential Money component. Please reinstall Money from your original product disks
Then, it asks me to check the installation, after which it complains about mnysetup.dll not found.
I got the same error in trying to install msmoney 2004 under wine 0.9.3. I copied mnysetup.dll from the Money CD to the Program Files/Microsoft Money/System folder and tried again, and then it said it was able to fix the installation, and then Money started up and mostly works. However, when I go to the Reports page (or some other pages), much of the Money screen goes black. It's still active, but I can't see what I'm clicking. Any idea how to fix this?
I have just tried under 5.0.1 on Fedora 4.
It installs fine and gets the message about mnysetup.dll missing.
Copy this file to the Money install folder (in the System subdirectory), and the app will run but need to repair itself. It adds a reg entry and then seems to work.
After that I keep getting problems creating or opening an existing Money file ... it says there is permission problems, and I can't find a way around it ...
Anybody had this ?
