I was able to install lync 32 bit in my office 2010 bottle but unable to start it up at this time

Same here. Our company is starting to use this crapware more now. It's a shame there is no compatible alternative or a cross platform substitute.

Pidgin can replace it on the Tchat Side. But for all related to meetings and audio/video, it's hopeless
