Hi, I installed GFWL on my mac, but I can't make it work because it ask to install Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant and this one can't be installed because it returns a error message saying:
"Windows Live ID Sign-In Assistant Setup Wizard ended prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run Setup Wizard again."
If anyone tried to run or have any ideas, share it please. Thanks!

GFWL does not currently work under wine or crossover. More than that, Microsoft has announced its shutdown next year. Some of the games that use it are moving to Steamworks and some may be moving or not at all.
Thanks for the answer. I was trying to run Super Street Fighter 4, that requires GFWL, but it's good to know that they will stop using it.
Well, it might render a lot of games unplayable or half-unplayable. The wiki page I linked to shows which games use GWFL so people can avoid them. I've no idea whether Capcom will provide patches in the future to "exorcise" GFWL from their titles.
What is the date for when GFWL will be shutdown?
Well, here's the interesting bit... nobody knows anymore. Namco just said that in the case of Dark Souls, all functionality will continue to work, including multiplayer...

I just saw, its july 1st.
And yeah I would guess that they are probably going to move to steam works. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't, as Dark Souls II is steam works.
