Dropping the Supported Status of Office 97 products

Microsoft officially dropped support for Office 97 products in February of 2002.

We have worked diligently to maintain support for Office 97 products since then but as the years have passed we find carrying legacy support for these products to be a greater and greater challenge. At the time of this writing, the Office 97 suite continues to function with CrossOver 12.x. However, the demand for this suite and the applications included within it has fallen well below what we consider enough of a user base to include it in a regular testing cycle.

With this in consideration, we have concluded that the best path would be to remove support for the Office 97 suite. We will continue to triage bugs and work with users that run this legacy software. However, bugs and issues will not receive the same priority as our supported applications.

Our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience.
