Hello,

i have managed to install MyODBC driver in CrossOffice and Access recognises it.
when i link tables to MySQL ODBC, test connection goes fine, but i cannot browse those linked tables.

the error message is:
"microsoft access can't open the table in datasheet view."

now what is that supposed to mean?

i tried to convert the mdb file to mde, linked tables, but still has the same error.
i connected to MySQL server from a proper winOS client and it works ok.

CONCLUSION,
this seems to be a problem of CrossOver... if that is so, then this prevents me from buying this cool (and i mean it) soft...

It looks like a problem is in MySQL ODBC driver under CrossOffice.

Hmmm, I believe this used to work. I'll pass it along to the development team. It might be worth trying an older version of the MyODBC driver. In any case, a bug will be filed.

I've got exactly the same problem.
But, with a query from code, from inside a form, i can view the data, but when i select a record, (yes it's a selection field) the app freezes....

You must install the Servicepack 2 from MS-Office, the same problem I had on a W2K computer. I can´t install the SP2 on my Linussystem, one year ago!
