Hi everybody, i have this problem with crossover games. Before of 10.01.2010 metin2 was really perfect with crossover. Now, the Gameforge team have introduced a new patch updater that is based on a peer2peer program. Cross over can't open this file and so this game is not usable anymore. The file, if you try to download the game from the site, is metin2.bin. I hope it will be possible to make it work again. I bought cross over games only to use it with this game. If someone knows some tricks or tips about this please help me! Thanx

I can't get the torrent patcher to work, too.

But I found a workaround.

Copy the Metin folder from a freshly patched Windows System to your box.

Start the game with
wine metin2client.binIt should be possible to update your client with the update program in the Metin folder. I don't remember the name, but when you look for .exe files you will find the updater and can start it manually once in a time.

P.S. positive side effect of using metin2client.bin directly is, that it starts much faster
