QuoteTracker stops loaded after it fails to detect Internet Explorer 4 or above, displayed in a message box, then quite.
For me with Crossover 3.0 with IE6 installed Quote Tracker starts OK and runs.
There are only two problems.
1/ The menu bar at the top does not work, but this is not much of a problem since most functions can be performed by right clicking in the main pane.
2/ The bar at the bottom of the Window insists on appearing half way down the window no matter what size the window is.
It is almost, but not quite usable.
Derek (or anyone else who wants to try this), contact me at mike@medved.net and we will see if we can fix these problems.
I am running Crossover 6 on OS X (MAC) and quote tracker launches fine. My only issue is logging on the a real time quote server. Specifically Etrade US.
The trade-Ideas Implementation works just fine though. I can log into my trade ideas account and get all my alerts
Figured I would update this. Jerry @ medved responded with an email that helped me solve my problem.
Basically, use a win98 Bottle, install IE6 and Quote tracker works great.
The only problems I have are resizing the watchlist and portfolio windows, you can go horizontally, but not vertically.
All charts work, News, etc...
I am running Codeweaver 6 for MAC OS X.
I'm running QT and it has worked great. Mac OS X. For streaming quotes I'm using TD Ameritrade. It's free with a $500 funded account.
Occasionally QT becomes unstable and freezes. It has never refused to quit however and is back up and running within seconds. I found I also had this problem when using windows so I don't think the problem is exclusive to Mac or CrossOver with QT.
