Medieval II: Total War Forum

Game seems to work fine overall. Except for one thing. Text in my options menu are all jumbled to the point of being unreadable. Have no idea why. Have reinstalled multi-able times with various patches. Cannot get this to work. Real bugger.

Any ideas?

thats correct. I got this not in the main menu, its only in submunu or ingame calling in game options. However, you can read what it says but its annoying indeed. First i thought it was only me because on installation i choosed stretched mode. and i thought it was from that. Or did you coose for that too in installation?

Same exact problem. Main menu is fine, it's all the other menu's.

I've set it for either on the many different installations attempts. I was hoping the newest patches would fix it, but I can only install the 1.1 patch successfully. If I try 1.2, the installation stalls on data pack 1. After 5 attempts, I gave up on any of the later patches.

Exact same problem here: Some ingame texts aren't readable. :(

There must be a specific reason it will not display the correct text. Can we change the font by installing another in its place?

You mean installing core fonts?

I just think that if the text isn't displaying correctly then maybe we can tell the game to replace that font with another? I'm currently hunting through the twcenter.net forums to try and find a font editor.

Nope, had no luck with twcenter.net. Really annoying. One thing to fix and the game would be perfect for me. Don't even need to run it in windowed mode.

Folks encountering garbled text should report which platform they use (Mac or Linux), which version of the OS, what GPU they have, and for Linux what version of the graphics drivers.

Also, it would be great if there were a screenshot posted somewhere. Thanks.
