Medieval II: Total War Forum

I've recently installed the game, through Steam. It simply does not work. It seems to work at first, and the intro runs fine. But then I get the infamous "Medieval 2: Total War has encountered an error and will now exit." message, and the game quits.

I've tried all the suggestions mentioned in the other threads. Many can't even be implemented in CrossOver 14 and those that can, do not work. For example, to try to alter advanced configurations in the "Manage Bottles" menu is impossible, since such a menu does not seem to exist.

Does someone have any suggestion? Thanks.

Thanks for your answer. I've filed a ticket, and got a general answer; this application is not supported, you can try checking the general procedures for unsupported applications. Hope you have better luck than me.

Looks like there's a regression in Crossover 14.x, but it should still work back in Crossover 13.x and will probably start working again in Crossover 15.x.

For a workaround in the meantime you can download previous versions of Crossover from https://www.codeweavers.com/account/downloads/archive
