Hi everyone, I purchased medieval 2 from steam however when I get to the point where it says find thee so ft ware you want to install I can't find it anywhere not in steams app support like you would expect. Can anyone please help me?

...at a guess, you're trying to install via the crosstie profile,
however, the profile does not yet support a Steam install. Instead,
you should install Steam via the target in the 'Supported Applications'
section of the cxinstaller GUI, then start Steam and look for the
game in your 'Library' tab of the Steam UI ; right click on it, and
install the game...

ps: if you're selecting this title from the 'Community Supported
Applications' list, don't - do the above...

Ive downloaded it but now it wont start I dont what to do, also I tried to get the bottles c folder like in the tips and tricks but it says the folder does not exist can anyone help ? -again ?
