TBH... you are better off getting Teamspeak3 and running it outside the game... its even buggy in windows. but i think that it has something to do with DirectSound...
I setup Teamspeak 3 outside the game for the first time. Once I rearranged the keybindings for TS3(Left CTRL T to talk) and in-game ("I" - Chat All) it worked OK, Both using a TS server and using in-game VOIP for later PUG matches.
A problem I got on some drops is I would lose control of the keyboard, turning my mech into a turret as I could only twist and fire. Should have dropped with an Urbie :D Only thing worked was ALT-TAB so I was able to Kill MWO and reconnect. Problem worked-around, but it it not a fix. This suggests a game issue but I did not see any recent issue match in the forums.
Am I better-off running the windows TS3 client? If so, should it be in the same bottle? Am I misunderstanding bottles?
advTHANKSance
The bug with running TS3 and randomly losing keyboard control has gone away once I upgraded to Crossover 16.0.0. [apologies - late update]
