Doesnt work for me, cant finish the installer

when i try the full installation it gets to 45% and when i try the minimal installation it gets to 69%, the rest of you seem to be enjoying the game just fine... PLEASE help me!! Max Payne is my favorite 3rd person shooter of all time! it is just so cinematic and emotional- i love it!

so now it let me finish the installer but when i try to play the game it says "debugger detected. Unload the debugger and try again"..... what?

This is a usual copy protection problem. The copy protection complains that it found something it doesn't like about CrossOver's environment, which isn't entirely unexpected, given that we're not running the original Microsoft code. We're trying to iron out those differences where possible.

thanks, but how come i seem to be the only one having problems with this particular game? I say the debug error being discussed in another topic, but not from this game.

Probably you're running the CD based versions, and other run the Steam version of this game, which comes without a CD check(obviously) and thus without paranoid system checks.

Some games that are bought on CDs can be registered in Steam. I don't know if that's the case for Max Payne, the Steam docs may give more info here.

I was looking that up on Steam. You can add Max Payne as third party app in Steam, but that adds only a link. It does not allow you to download or use the steam-version. The Steam Version seams to work fine since there is no CD-Check.

I have the Original Version on CD here, and installed it. no Problem there. But i can´t start it though because of the cd check. I tried it with a No CD crack and it runs. Unfortunately am i not aware how legal that is to use a cd crack even when you have bought the game (so you can´t really recommend that to Crossover buyers i guess).
