Steam version screws up bottle control panel. All that is left is a PhysX entry. Task manager, Winecfg etc all gone.

I doubt Physx actually works but the control panel doesn't get screwed up.

Thanks for the clarification -- I've been trying to get a handle on this all through beta (and I'm still looking out for it if it reoccurs) but it's only ever been the Steam bottle that does this, and I've not been able to isolate the trigger yet...but I might see if the mass effect 2 demo can provoke the bug into showing itself 8)

...btw, read your bio <grin> ... good to see another aussie petrolhead in the ranks ; years ago, I used to ride/race bikes.. 2stroke triples ...(500 Mach1 & 750 H2 kwakas)... and although the 4strokes have come a long way since then, their engines still don't have the same 'mathematical magic' as a stroker, and lets face it...there's nothing quite like the rush of a wicked 2stroke hitting 'band, eh? (^8

ps: my favourtie 2stroke sound is -still- any Detroit Diesel/GM v71/t92 (natch or not ;), but probably the pinnacle of 2stroke craft would, for mine, be the Napier Deltics ...3 cranks, 18cyl, 36 opposing piston scavenge blown 2stroke diesels with a engine note that is soooo sweet ;)

Yeah on a fresh install that demo does it every time for me. Did it again just then and noticed the bottle manager won't show installed applications either.

That deltic is insane :) I got a chance to go and see motogp before they got rid of the 250s saw one of them eat tar just out of Doohan Corner was standing track side right next to it. I'm guessing your a little older than me though I'm 21 :) I would have liked to see some 500s race.

I only trail ride a little 125 but yeah hit band you loose traction then engine spins up even quicker then grips and takes off :)b Got my blacks now so dreaming about a road bike but 2 cars, a trailer and one bike rego don't think I'll add another bike.

Update: I was able to reproduce this error with Mass Effect 2 demo - good catch!

Just bought the retail version, still have to install PhysX first.
