GUI functions, but games don't run (Mac CX 6.0.0b1)

The GUI appears to work great, but games do not run. Trying to launch one causes the main screen to disappear, then moments later it re-appears, the game having failed to launch. I'd really like to see this working as I like MAME32 and would like to be able run this version of MAME on my Mac.
