Hello,
I'm trying to make this application run properly without success.

I went through the installer successfull but when the game launch it auto-updates, and it freeze while downloading files. I'm on Macos. Any idea how to fix ?

I achieved the same results as you by creating a Windows 7 Bottle (32-bit) in Ubuntu 18.04 and installing:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 (14.0) Redistributable Runtime
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2
Core Fonts

Kept freezing while downloading files. Also encountered "Fatal error in GC. SetThreadContext failed".

UPDATE:
After numerous tries I finally got through the whole process of downloading the files and I was able to create an account.
But after login the client says that it is outdated and I should use MTGAlauncher.exe to update. But I just don't get it to update. So that's where I'm stuck right now.

I am unable to complete installation. I get to the "Agree & Install" screen, but any attempt to agree does not allow the installation to proceed. I am using the latest MTGAInstaller.exe downloaded Jan 20, 2019. I am using a Windows 10 bottle created by the Crossover installer after selecting MTG Arena from the install an application wizard.

I run into the same problems, tried several configurations.

I can usually run this fine on Wine staging (until the latest update, that is) installing .NET and Visual C++ 2015 redistributable.

While I eventually was able to install Arena on my Mac running Crossover, I can not successfully update it when a new version is out. The best solution I have found is to run the game on my office PC, let it update and then copy the MTGA directory to a USB drive and then transfer the files to my "C: Drive" on my Mac.

@ Jonathan Nilsson: I am having the same issue installing into a windows 7 bottle. I am going to try the install on a windows computer and usb it over to the bottle and see how well that works and if it will update on the latest version of crossover

On Catalina with Crossover 19, I get through the installation. But after all the Downloading etc it freezes at "Preparing Assets". Would be great to get this working.

(to copy the installation folder from a running windows installation doesn't help)

I have crossover installed but I can't figure out how to install mtga to run it on there
