Lotus Notes 6.5.1 Forum

Hi all

We got the fallowing problme with our Notes installation when we use the automatic replication. Notes freezes and doesn't make any error log and doesn't gives any message just a blank window frame. It's a huge amount of data size we replicate to the laptops about 8 GB's.
We tried to disable the automatic replication and didn't get any problem since then but that's just a temporary solution we can use. So I just want to ask if anybody knows about this problem or knows how to find out what's the problem.

Maybe one more note: It happens if the user is connected to the local network aswell as he's connected via VPN from home office.

I use automatic replication without any problems, although the most I replicate is ~500MB at any giving time. There are two possible suggestions, one try CXOffice 3.0.1 and or try Lotus Notes 6.5.2. While 6.5.2 is not officially supported by CXOffice it works better than 6.5.1 (has bug fixes from Lotus). The only problem is that cxsetup does not understand 6.5.2 as a new install and will report a failure even though everything is installed correctly and works. I have not yet tried the upgrade patch to see if that works, if you do try it let us know.
