No, it's R6.5 Milestone Build 2 as of June 12th, 2003 (unfortunately I cannot find my R6.5 Gold release CDROM at my office, it somehow went amiss! :( ).
Nope, but I'll give it a try and see what kind of success I have. I'm using 6.5 GA (September 26, 2003) w/ the self extracting Installer.
Does it make sense to tweak the settings or configuration parameters? If so, which ones?
I tried both of the trial versions (6.5 and 6.0.3) and had both fail durring install. ☹️
I have not yet found a setting or config that allows the self-extracting installer to run to completion. I've tried every OS version setting and made sure that MFC42.DLL and IE/DCOM were installed before the install started, installed over an existing install (5.0.11 -cxoffice install- and 6.5 -windows install-) and the current CVS and it still failed. I'd expect that the installer problems will be easier to fix and will get fixed by association, and since each notes install is very self contained, it's easy to do a windows install and then move it to cxoffice for testing and applicaiton debugging, that's where I'm going to focus my time then go back to the installer.
