Ok, so I got past the CD error, but the game is still frozen on the title screen. I read that I also needed a skirmish file for BFME to work. Is this true? If so, where can I get one?

I am running Mac OSX Lion.

I'll have a look at the freeze, I haven't tried it for a while (since before I upgraded to Lion actually- could be something to do with Lion? Maybe)

For the skirmish file, you could try googling (if you haven't already), and possibly have more success than me- I never found one.
Or you could just make one of your own- see here for more details:

I'll get back to you again when I try it myself, I'm not sure about this freeze.

I've tried doing your steps to create a skirmish file, and it's not working. Could you possibly post your .ini file so I could download and use it?

Well, I'm not at my normal computer atm so I can't post it just yet, but inside my skirmish file I originally put these two lines:

CurrentUserName = A_00l_00e_00x_00_20_00S_00
UserNames = A_00l_00e_00x_00_20_00S_00_2C_00

And saved.

As you play more, more stuff will be added, but that was enough to get the game going for me.
