Hello, I have played LOTRO daily for a few months now on crossover with no problems. However, today it will not load past the sign in screen. I enter my password then the box turns white (the box that says output on top) and eventually freezes. I then need to force quit the application.

I have changed nothing and am on the latest version of Max OSX.

If your Mac OS is 10.7.5 or 10.8.2, this may be a symptom of a problem which was introduced by the most recent Apple OS upgrade. These apple updates broke 3d opengl in X11, upon which CrossOver relies. CrossOver 11.2.2 fixes the problem in all situations I know of.

I actually did update my mac osx today... had such a bad feeling do that too! I then upgraded crossover to the newer version hoping that would fix the problem but it didn't. I uninstalled lotro and am in the process of patching the new install... I hope it works because I had a few errors pop up during the instillation.

You think crossover will have an update to fix this? Sorry, I didn't really understand what you meant.

If updating to CrossOver 11.2.2 did not fix it, then I do not know what the problem is. It makes it more likely it is something LOTRO-specific.

I actually noticed that the only upgrade it let me do was the one before 11.2.2

I didn't understand that when it said support ends that I wouldn't be able to get updates that were needed for programs to work after mac upgrades. I thouhgt it was just for upgrades that made things better but not necessary. And now my time for an extension is up... I think that is what I would need anyway so I am on a 14 day trial.
