Lotro mac C++ problem

Hi all,
i have little problem with lotro for mac. I followed guide on lorebook and when i want update lotro then i get error message and same when i want log into game. Here are both errors
Visual C++
Program: C:/windows/system32/rundll32.exe
R6034
An aplication has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.

Runtime Error!

Program C:/Program Files.....

R6034
An aplication has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.

I have Macbook Pro, Leopard 10.5.6, Crossover games 7.20 and lotro was installed from MoM discs and btw. I installed Visual C++ 2005 (link from lorebook).

Thx for help

I think, the installation of Visual C++ is not necessary for MoM and Leopard - that's not made perfectly clear in the guide on lorebook. If I remember correctly, I followed the instructions in the first try, just like you did and got the same error. Try installing MoM again - custom install with all options off and do not install Visual C++.

Some tips, when you got it working:
I've installed LotRO on an iMac, MBP and on a MacPro. Runs well, except for the well known sound issues with cinematics. Turning off post processing effects in the advanced graphics settings boosted the performance and removed some graphics glitches for me. Distant characters were grey (no textures loaded, I think) for me. Turning off the option "use combined character meshes" solved this.
I'm playing with a german client, so I'm not sure about the correct option's name. But I'm sure you will figure them out 😊

If you install the game using the MoM disks/download (ie not upgrade from a previous install), the installer takes care of the C++ run-time installation for you so manually installing it isn't necessary.

The rule of thumb seems to be try it without installing the C++ run-time, if it works that is fine, if it doesn't try installing the C++ run-time.
