Sound issues

I currently run LotRO under CrossOver games with the LotTROMac launcher. It all works quite well apart from 2 issues:

  1. There is no sound during movies/cut scenes
  2. The game does not recognise my microphone/headphones for in game chat. I use a headset plugged into a Griffin iMic in a USB port.

From reading other forums, it would seem that some Linux users can get all sounds working properly in LotRO under Wine. Has anyone managed to resolve these 2 issues under CXG Mac?

The short answer is "No." 😥

I've tried several different sound settings in game and with CXG by now - without any success. I've downloaded the original Bink video player and installed it into my lotro bottle. Well, the player plays the videos with sound... I even converted the audio tracks of the videos, no changes. Obviously, when playing the cinematics, the LotRO-Client is using the sound device in a way that isn't supported by CXG Mac. It seems likely to me, that CXG's integration with OSX' CoreAudio is missing something that would be needed in that special case.
