Hey Alan, I left LOTRO a while back, but I see you've stuck with it 😎 I've taken what I've learned through LOTRO and am trying to get Warhammer Online ported to the Mac using CXG/Wine, but am stuck on a fairly basic problem that I thought we had solved for LOTRO. Whenever I try to install it, it complains about DirectX not being installed, so I was curious how you got around that for LOTRO (Cause I think I remember there was something you had to do, besides the .NET registry edit) and if it could be used for Warhammer?

The only reg hack was to get around .NET not installing under CXG, the installer installed directx while it was installing (or at least it said it would be), I think a few games do that but the wine version of directx is used when actually running the game.

It could be that it relies on part of directx that isn't yet complete. You get files called d3dx_nn.dll where nn is a number (well some name like that), cxg/wine as far as I know doesn't contain all of them (Age of Conan used one that wasn't implemented fully as well).

Yeah I got it installed and am trying to get it either installed using CXG or Wine....

Right now it's not working due to my integrated graphics card on Boot Camp/Windows..... which is annoying me as my emulation isn't working.
