Stuttering / High Traffic Loss

Well the good news is that a patch has been applied to both vanilla wine and cxg (at the moment only advocates have access to the test version but it will be part of 7.1 when it is released).

I've ran several tests, with the standard 7.0 install I was getting a steady packet loss of 6% (I'll ignore a rather painful 42% loss walk around Bree :)), with the nightly build (20080719) I stayed at 0% and the only stutter I had was once when crossing the boundary heading into the Bree city zone.

So that problem is now solved, thanks to Stefan (I won't try to spell your surname) for pulling that patch in for me and thanks to Daniel Santos for creating it.

Any idea when 7.1 is released? also when it is how do i upgrade etc, i a new to CXG.
I keep getting annoying packet loss and is killing me.

Thanks for the good work!

That I don't know I'm afraid but beta 1 is available for advocates at the moment so the release process has started. CXG 7.0 hit full release about a month after beta 1, 7.1 had beta 1 out the beginning of July.

If you go to your account page and click on "My Downloads" there is an experimental build tab, at the moment it isn't the version with the change added but they may update the version available there. If you ask on the main support forums they should be able to tell you the release schedule and might update the current experimental build version for you.
