All servers may be busy

THIS IS NOT A CRITICISM OF PYLOTRO, only a general awareness alert.

Well its begun, f2P has brought Turbine servers to a grind. I've got my son playing with me on an F2P account. At 1PM CT we were able to login in with a 4 minute wait (started at 19th in line). At 2:30PM CT we needed to log out to fix something else on the PC and ended up 775th in the Queue with a likely under estimated 70 minute wait.

While all of this was on the PC with the LOTRO client it was visible. Pylotro does not really have a mechanic to let you know where you are in the queue. It was never really needed before (was it? did anyone ever have to wait). If you are VIP, you should not have to wait so may not experience it (though I have my doubts on that, but can't verify right at this moment with my VIP).

What I am advising is patience. If you know your CXG setup was working and there was no patch, but now you cant seem to play, then you may need patience. If authentication takes longer PYLOTRO will only display "Checking account details..." while you wait. Once that completes you will see "Account Authenticated". What is new (to me) is it will next say "Joined World Queue", then "Currently Queueing, please wait". THing is they are very serious about that last part. With a combination of curiosity, an anxious daughter who wants her own account, and the need to do some office work, I'm gonna see how long it will take and what will happen if we ever get in so we're going to let it ride a while. If the results are of any value I'll update the posts.

The moral of my story: If your in the game and are not going insane with all the lags and rubber banding, don't log out.

If you do get caught in a queue can you post the contents of drive_c/users/crossover/Application Data/WorldQueue.config in your LotRO bottle

I've never seen it hit a queue so am glad that the queueing bit seems to work but seeing a few of those config files (especially from later stages in the same queue) might help me see if I can give an indication of estimated time, position in queue, etc.

I hope Codemasters have beefed up their servers a bit, those things can be flakey at the best of times.

Sure thing. I can try again later. I did finally get in but it took a trick ...

After waiting for about 40 minutes (i had lots of patience since I was working on other stuff) Pylotro never indicated that my turn was up. On a whim I tried hitting the Login button again. That did nothing. Then I put my cursor into the password box and hit enter. The login window dissappeared, the screen went black and I was successfully logged in on a F2P account. I created a character with success, but did not login to play. But a friend tried the same steps and was able to play.
