LOTRO installed after F2P. Used PYLOTRO to patch on CoG 9.0 and since upgraded to 9.1. I unchecked the pixel shading.
Now when I log in, the screen goes black and the mouse cursor changes to the LOTRO mouse pointer. I can move the pointer around, but that's all that happens.
Any ideas?

Update: I copied all the dxd3**.dll files to the LOTRO directory. I no longer get a news read error in PYLOTRO, but I still get a black screen with the pointer. I also had a friend log in on a windows machine to click through the EULAs for the first time account, but I still cannot log in on my MacBook pro running Snow Leopard.
I'm still doing some tweaks. I currently have all graphics.hardware acceleration turned off. I'm beginning to wonder if it might be a registry setting. I used the new C4P file to install.
And as a final followup I was successful by redownloading and reinstalling. I read that even Windows users have had this issue and sometimes it was caused by a glitch in the install. I started over from scratch and used the backup updater. Played for 3-4 hours last night without a hiccup.
Next I am going to try to copy the directx files into the home directory and see if I can get the graphics quality up a bit.
