I have been running LOTRO now on OSX 10.6.6 under CXG 10.0 (now 10.0.1) Since December 2010.
I have not had ANY problems... i.e. no crashes.
I am developing a theory that the problem is a graphics issue.
I know that Turbine cannot see the Mac's graphics card or engine directly, but relies on the WINE interface.
At this time, I don't know what that implies.
The following configuration is a 24 inch (diagonal) iMac where I run in a window which is roughly 95% of the screen.
I do have "OpenGL" defined as my drawing engine:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D

In general, my graphics settings are "high" (Custom), but see the UserPreferences.ini file below for details.

What is your system and graphics information?
System Profiler (About this Mac/More info) ... all but the last 4 Items are useful for this exercise (i.e. down through bus speed.)
Then under Hardware/Graphics/Displays.
