Stuck at "Executing pre installation actions"

I keep getting stuck in the install process when Pando Media booster launches. It just says "Executing pre installation actions" and doesn't do anything else. I looked for fixes, but couldn't find anything worthwhile. I've tried uninstalling crossover and tried downloading the client straight from the lotro website...same problem. Any ideas?

I'm using crossover games 10.1 and Mac OSX Snow Leopard.

Hmm... sounds like an "artifact" problem. Something you have/had installed previously causing a conflict.

10.1 "should" all the PMB to run. Do you get the "pretty blue" PMB box? Is the text correct?

PMB relies on .net "stuff" to work. It definitely did not work prior to CXG 10.1.

The only other thing I can think of ... I was having issues with Turbine last night. For whatever reason, their GLS data center was not reachable.... consequently it was not possible to initialize PyLotRO and login.

Turbine no longere provides a "client" for download. The "Turbine Client" they provide is the same PMB downloader which we install via CrossTie.... I forgot to ask, you did use the CrossTie installer I assume? If not, that could be part of the problem -- the CrossTie installer installs a number of Microsoft products necessary for both the PMB and LOTRO to run correctly. (The PMB is a "torrent" type installer. Once running it will take many hours to download the Game Client ... as it is over 10GB in size.)

I would recommend deleting any existing bottles you have - launch CXG use the Configuration Pulldown, manage bottles. Highlight the bottles you find and click "-" (minus) at the bottom of the screen.

Then go back to the main page here (details) and click on the orange "install via CrossTie" button and see what happens.

And for what it's worth, the Turbine "news server" has been swamped all day.
